I can't help but wonder if this is intenssional by Rans, to assure that the flapperons are not overloaded. Concider that the force on the flaps(ailerons) increases with speed. All components have a breaking point. Auto release is not a bad thing if it is a design feature to avoid component failure. What is maximum deployment speed, and was it exceeded? 80mph for my S9, don't know for the S10. This is just a thought I wanted to share, Please don't be offended, That would not be my intension.
