Hi Andy,
as mentioned in severals post on this forum regarding that issue, the membrane carburettors should be oriented as such that their memmbrane should be vertical. This is also mentioned in the SBN manual, somewhere in the last pages(they refer to the modern watercraft stuf being capable to pull sharp turns of over 2.5 G's, and thus the gravity pull on the membrane ruining the tuning of the carburettor. Here they provide as only remedy to solve this problem >>reorienting the carbs so their membrane is vertical). There is also a nice picture of the setup as sold from Rans. Note also that with this setup, the throttle linkage goes on the bottem of the carbs. I assume that is done to give room for the oil injection pump if one should go for this option.
I made my own adaptor from a solid piece of commercial 7075 aluminium, and found it match perfect with the throttle linkage on top. I decided not to go for the oil injection system for some reasons.
